Spectacular Fireworks @ Putrajaya !!

Wah......................... !

That was the expression of most of the spectators of The Malaysia International Fireworks Competition 2007 held near the PICC (Putrajaya International Convention Centre) from 18 August, 2007 till 2 Sept, 2007.

Yesterday (August 25), we went to witness the fireworks performance by the Italy Team. The show started at 10pm but at about 8pm time, Putrajaya traffic was already very jam, thus we decided to watch it across the lake at Cyberjaya side in order that we can 'escape' from the jam after the performance was over. Since we are 'locals' to Cyberjaya, we know where to pick a good spot to watch and to 'escape' the jam after that.

The 20+minutes performance was spectacular !!

The next competition day will be on August 30 and Sept 2. Very likely we will go to see again on one of these days.

The ticket to see from PICC is RM38 and 20% discount for certain customers, more info on http://www.ticketpro.com.my/akce/detail/25. We did not buy ticket to see from there partly due to the cost and partly due to the traffic jam.

Believe it or not, this is the traffic at Cyberjaya after the fireworks:










It is almost KL-like, we almost never seen traffic jam in Cyberjaya and Putrajaya.

MMU Convo 2007

Convocations every year have always been happy time for me to see our former students graduating and catching up with them on their new jobs and lives. Of course photo taking sessions is a must to add to the fun.

This year convocation was a specially happy times for me as my dear niece Sin Hwei was also one of the graduate in this batch, here is a photo of her on the stage:

Sin Hwei is the first person who called me uncle in my family. To be exact, she called me 'QQ' as I am the younger brother of her mother. She is the first grandchild for my parents. I see her grow up since she was a baby.

To see her graduate (with a First Class Honours) is a great joy for me, it is one of the happiest day of my life !!

These are some of the former students who were very close to me. I have taught them for 4 trimesters and they were doing their final year project with me for 2 trimester, they are also like friends to me. It is indeed a happy time to see them graduating.

Guys/Gals: it is my pleasure to know all of you !! I miss you all and do keep in touch !!
